Demonstratives are stuff that indicates which entity or entities are being referred to.

Demonstrative adjectives are those that describes nouns. They need to change according to the noun.
- ce pont ’this bridge'
- cette église ’this chruch'
- ces statues ’these statues'
ce becomes cet before vowel
- cet été
Add là-bas to indicate distance
When talking about jours or mois, add the -ci or -là suffix
- Non, ce mois-ci.

This is an alternative for demonstrative adjective. When the noun is absent, we use a demonstrative pronoun to replace the noun instead. Basically, use one of item from the list and add a suffix (hyphenate)
- Celui-ci est à Paul = Ce vélo est à Paul
- etc.
Celui de ’th-whatever of’ can be used to indicate possession
- C’est celui de Paul. ‘It belongs to Paul’
